The Economics Commision was created by the Executive Borad of the Institute on february 15th 2001.
MISSION
The Economics Commision’s mission is focused on two areas::
Energy Economics
General Macro Economics
For this purpose, in line with of the objectives of the Institute, the Economics Commision will develop activities, studies and papers to collaborate with it, based on economics, financial, social and/or all subjects directly or inditectly related to these.
The Commission will be able to put into consideration of the Executive Board the planning, coordination, organization and/or execution of: Courses, Workshops, Forums, Conferences, Working Days and/or Round tables on all subjects of its interest.
It will also provide with the necessary means to get the collaboration of experts and/or professional individuals on subjects described in the Commision’s objectives. The cooperation with other commissions and departments and/or economics commissions or alike from external Non-Governmental Agencies, is desired, previously authorized by the Board.
The Commision is entitled to publish –previously authorized by the board- the activities, studies and papers in the “Proyecto Energético” magazine, in the Institute’s website and/or any other media used by the Institute for the broadcasting of its activities..
AUTHORITIES
The Economics Commision is lead by a Coordinator, an Alternate Coordinator, a Secretary, three comiteemen and three subrogate comiteemen, all of these, Institute’s Members.
QUORUM
The Commision will reach quorum with the presene of three of its Authorities.
LOCATION AND FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS
The commission will be assembled weekly in the Institute’s see.
MEETINGS
The meetings will be headed by the Commission’s Coordinator. In his absebce, his attributes will be held by the Alternate Coordinator. In case of absence of the Alternate Coordinator, the Secretary, and on his absence the most senior comiteeman will take this place.
COMMISSION’S MEMBERS
All the Institute’s Members are entitled to be part of the Commission. In case of the incorporation of non-members, this must be firstly approved by the authorities of the Commission.
ANNUAL REPORT
The Economics Commision will provide to the Executive Board of the Institute an annual mamoire on all developed activities, studies and papers. .
MEETING SCHEDULE
The Commission will be assembled each month’s frst Wednesday at 18:30 in the Institute’s see.
